Default 99 SSEi oil pressure

Does anyone know the normal pressure that a stock motor runs at? When I am sitting a lights my OPG goes to about 30 but when the gas is pressed it is about 60. It dances all over the dash just like the boost gague does.

My mechanic stated that the gages sometimes go bad and my OP is fine. I would trust you guys over him on this since the is a BF and all.

Thanks for the help!

That'* in what I consider the "acceptable range". He'* on the money for gauges going wonky/bad. My car gives me readings and I'm happy. I know my volts are at 18 and that oil pressure isn't where it says half the time...but I know something is registering and I can live with that.

our cars should idle around 30-40 and when you increase rpm which increase speed of the pump... 50-60 is also very normal.

50-60 is not right... Between 41-42 is normal.
