Default 98 LeSabre; remove throttle body; drain coolant first?

I want to remove my throttle body and MAF for cleaning.

The 98 H-Body FSM states that the coolant should be drained before removing the throttle body. The Techinfo article on this site does not mention this step. Is it necessary?

No draining. You'll lose a couple tablespoons. Nothing more.

Just have a wet/dry vac or a roll of paper towels handy.

Actually.. take a closer look and ensure your radiator and top hose are not higher than the TB. If so, that coolant will drain out when you remove the TB.
