Default 96 SE Loud Sqeek from Rear

Hello all first post my mother-in-law has a plain jane 96 bonnie SE with very loud sqeek coming from right rear I am guessing.. I sprayed some silicone on the sway bar bushings and it was no help.. any Idea whats going on local shop said she needs new struts to the cost of 300 for replacement no gaurantee that will get rid of noise.. I looked under car and saw coil springs and a shock so do certain models have struts?

Any info appricaited.. X

Actually, they are struts in the rear too.
Is it a squeak, or more of a jingle/squeak? If it is a jingle/squeak you might look into getting some new sway bar end-links ($10-15 and about 1 hour to replace if you aren't very mechanically inclined -took me under 45 minutes total for both sides, and that was using hand tools only).
Otherwise I would venture to say that struts or strut mounts are the culprits.
Hope you get it fixed for cheap, and without much trouble.

nope this ain't no jingle this is loud and does it when you hit bumps or when you are going slow in forward or reverse and hit brakes and car stops and tetters a bit it does it you can hear it clearly from 20 feet away..

So since its struts do you need any speacial tools? I have never dealt with struts taht didn't have springs attached.. Its is a Paint to Swap them out? X
