Default 92 SSEI help

Hello everyone,

i am a noob here and to the Bonneville'* also. My dad owns a 92 SSEi. When we bought the car the owner told us the car has the "bigger" supercharger with a smaller pulley.
Now the SC is toast and knocking and rattling like hell and looking for a new SC. Now how do i check or how do i know what exactly SC is in the thing? Its 92-93 that had the smaller SC'* and then 94+ had the bigger chargers? The cars previous owner might have added the SC from the newer Bonnie but i dont really know that. So i need to find my dad a new or good used SC but he would rather have the bigger charger ofcourse.Car has a 3" high flow exhaust and a K&N cone air intake.

Can i just get a SC from a say 96 and put it on my 92? Or is it more complicated then that?

Also the car runs all messed up, when u come o a stop at a light the idle drops and sometimes stalls out , it also happens more when turning at a very slow speed , the car would start but re start no problem. Someone told me it might be the crank sensor or something. GM here in Toronto wants 100 bux to test the engine for EACH sensor that might be causing this problem. So before i do such thing i want to know if anyone had such exprience. I am going back to more reading and searching on this site.
But if anyone has some input please feel free to help out this lost man.

Thanks in advance
Tom

I've got a 92 with a 94 SC and TB, with a 2.3" pulley. To use that throttle body, you'll need a AFC calibrator. The rough running you are experiencing could be caused by poor airflow readings by the MAF. The unit from ZZPerformance works wonderfully.

You may just need a coupler to fix your blower. You can also get that from ZZP.

You should probably figure out which SC?TB?pulley combo you have. Measure the diameter of the pulley, see how thick the base of the SC is on the corner closest to the driver, where there is a bolt. If it is like two inches, its a 92/93 sc, 1 inch = 94/95 (I can't remember how thick it actually is, but close to those). Also, any possibbility that you can get the inner diameter of the throttle body? 96+ had the M90 sc that has a much longer snout on it. It is unlikely the previous owner managed to adapt one to your car.
