doing some pre car shopping, wondering if its the same inside as a 93 ssei, or anything different in the 98/99'*

any recomendations on what year? for sure 97-99 (97'* got the better tranny) white with dark tint would look good...

Very similar interior. Cup holders in the doors are different, radio is different... Anything specific you're concerned with?

Better trans? I disagree. The 4T65 seems to be much more failure-prone than the 4T60. The 65 has better MOD support, but no better repair support. If I were to buy a Series 2, it would be either brand new, or a 96 SSEi with the 4T60.

The 96-99 interiors are basically the same. Nothing too different that would make someone not like them.

I like the cupholders on the door in the 96-99. They are more smooth and integrated into the doors.

Minor differences: The plastic pieces on the door handles that are dark gray in the 92-95, are tan (taupe) on the 96-99 (unless the interior is dark gray). And the vents on the glove box door are tan if the dash is tan (dark gray if the dash is gray).

The one thing I don't like as much is the steering wheel design of the 96-99 Bonnes. It looks like a bubble. I like the 92-95, and the 2000+ steering wheels better. Oh, and I like how the 92-95 have the carpet material on the back doors, but the 96-99 don't have that (I'm pretty sure they don't).

I thought the dash was pretty much reorganized by 1998, wasn't it? Does anyone have an image of 1998 dash gauge cluster?

anyone have any pics of there 96+ ssei interiors? its probably that our 93 is SOOO ratty that i don't like it, plus the graphite interiors always look better, ours is a lite gray.

kinda want a gtp, i know the insides are even worse...but the outside helps make up for it, gtp'* are more of a chic magnet too lol, j/k. kinda looking at regal GS'*, outside is a little to bland, maybe a dropped black on grey w/tint would look good.....to many choices!

i just always heard that the 96 ssei'* went through trannies quicker when modded. same with the riv'*.

not looking at going extreme w/ mods, probably just a 3.4, rockers, cai, other supporting mods, POSSIBLY a dhp (for gtp/gs) so i will mod it, just not extreme, about a 14.0 car.
