Can anyone tell me a good brand and part number for a replacement catalytic converter for my '92 SSE */c? I haven't looked underneath the car yet to see if it'* a 2 1/2" cat with air tube like it was on my '93 SSEi.

It'* starting to make the noise that my '93 SSEi was making when accelerating, so it'll probably need to be replaced soon. I bought a Car Sound unit last year at a local muffler shop, and it cost $200 installed.

Any suggestions?

You live in a place with high smog restrictions just cut it off and weld (or clamp) up a filler pipe..
