92 is having a transmission problem

would it be in my best intrest to rebuild it anyway...honestly...the rebuild kit is 200 dollars through where i work.. and in the long run i'll have to do it anyway..the car has 204,000 miles on it...the car has a new filter and enough fluid. I just replaced the modulator valve today..no change.

That does sound like a lack of pressure...
There were some valve body issues with the early 4T60-E'd...I'll bet a rebuild would correct for that issue... At 204K it may be time
If you are sitting still and you have the slector in D, and nothing happens... With you left foot on the brake all the way to the floor.... If you were to rev it a tad like 1500 rpms or so, will the trans engage?
I still agree with Bill tho... Almost sounds like the Pump is going

if i put in d or r and light gas there is noting ...but if i put the hammer down it'* throw me back like nos on a ferrari. The trans does engage..just not like it should...
