Default 1995 Wont hold charge.

I just got my 1995 bonneville SSE out of storage of 8 months. It wouldnt start from a jump and I charged it and got it running. When I turn it off a small little motor goes on just behind the driver headlight under the hood. Within a few minutes the battery is dead again, I think this motor is whats drainging the battery but I cannot reach the cable to unplug it and want to know what it is before I mess with it. Any advice would help.

Cheers

The motor is for the ride leveler. Does it stay on or come on and run for a about 15 seconds and go off? Sounds like a old battery needs replaced.

it sounds as if your ELC compresior is draining the battery.....under the hood there is a relay center that says MAXIFUSE relay center....go under there and pull the 30 amp ELC fuse, and see if your problems exist.....IF they do, you prolly have a leak in one of the struts....or somewhere causing the compressor to continuely run.....if the car still dies, take the battery and have it load tested to make sure that it still will hold the charge

If its like my 95 that sat all winter long with a brand new battery, you might have to replace the battery. Thats what happened to mine last year. Sat all winter and the car wouldn't hold a charge. Replace it with a known good battery and see what happens the next day or two.
