OK, so its the 1st update of the old fireball engine, after it was moved to the front wheel drive. Does my vin code have anything in it I can use to find out what I have or is this all I need to know to have my cam ground?

The 8th VIN digit tells the engine.

Ok, let'* solve this once and for all. Go outside, pop your hood, and tell us how many valve cover bolts you have.

3 bolts in the middle - LG3
6 bolts around the perimeter - LN3

I have made mention of this in another thread..........

Vin 1G2HY54C 3800 LN3

Vin 1G2HY543 3.8 LG3

In 99.999999999999999% of the SSE'* you'll have the LN3
