SES light out now
Hello all,
Scratch the SES light problem. I don't even want to say what it was, but in case you run into a similar dumb-*** like myself at least you'll be able to tell them where to look. The last time it died, it finally lit the SES light. I checked the code and it finally gave me 34 for the MAF sensor. I had to run to catch a ride, slapped the plastic plate back up over the access to the fuse area, and never took the paper clip out.
I'll tell ya, some days it just don't pay to drag your butt from bed.
Anyways, I've driven it a little, I'll replace the wires and plugs soon. However, it is still running rough, and seems to be laboring somewhat to keep idle. I think my stalling problem is gone for the moment, I'll have to see, but I'm wonder what else I could test? Can I test the MAF sensor somehow to make sure that it is functioning properly now that I've replaced it?
Over the last year and a half I've become convinced there must be a short somewhere that is causing all the problems but I don't know how to detect it or find it.
Thanks for your time.
