Default otc 2000 question...

Just picked up a otc2000 with 1990 3-in-1 cartridge. using it on my 89 SE Vin C...
When I tell it 'vin C' it asks something like

My memory might be off a little on option 1, but anyway, I picked option 2 and it seemed to work. Anybody know what the option 1 means? I did not see it described in the manual...

The Reatta/Riviera has a Body Control Module that uses the ALDL to run the digital dahboard. All 1988-1990 had a "C" 3800.
