Default My Bonnie is sick. Loud noise coming from engine bay.

I was driving home just twenty minutes ago and as I turned into my neighborhood, a loud noise started coming from my engine. It'* a loud *PFFT* sound that occurs relative to how fast I'm going (if i speed up, the noise is faster). I have no idea what it is because it'* dark out and I can't see anything. I took a light out to the car real quick and didn't see anything blatantly wrong with it. If this is too big of a problem, the car is getting junked. Bad day :(

I second that :P Thats what my engine sounded like when the rubber on my balancer crapped out on me. It was hard to see since the pully and the rubber are both black. Easier to detect if you take off the serpintine and grab the balancer physically for inspection.

Default noise

Does this noise happen while reving the engine in the driveway or just when you are traveling down the road?
