I dunno Don, I'm pretty sure its wonky electronics. But once the weather improves this weekend, and when my exam is done. I'll have lots of time to rip up my old cluster. I'll post pics for you...

Anyone else ever dealt with this or just you and I?

Well, if its a common problem, I'm surprised no one has chipped in here with their experiences and maybe some solutions.

I think I've spelled out the situation pretty good :?

Any indication of what or why the odo stops at 9? it seems very very weird. There is no rhyme or reason to why the clock stops at nines...so very frustrating

I'll be looking for a digital odo and trip in the next car

Default Is this what it is?

I had that problem on my '90sse once. i took the cluster apart, to find out that there was either a trip or odometer gear cracked. a little superglue, and it works like a dream! i dont know if this will fix it, but its worth a shot. by the way, can anybody tell me where the remote keyless entry reciever is for this beast.

I figured its a broken gear. The new (used) on that I got has the same sorta problem. It gets stuck on the 9'* for some reason. This problem is common.

One of these days I'm going to rip apart my old dash cluster and root around in there.

Sorry, not sure how the wiring work, I had my remote installed
