No luck through trunk, is under the back seat (and a really odd shape when you get it out). To get a soaked blanket on top you would first have to drop the tank and will need to cut a hole about three feet long and eight inches wide (when you see the tubing, will make sense). Apparently for the Bonne GM did not want any rubber hose on top.

That said the hardest part was draining the tank, rest is a half hour job for two people (including the "hey lookithat", if you have the right parts. Autozone gave me the wrong strainer.

Auto parts prices keep surprising me. The AC fuel pump was only about $5 more at Autozone than it would have cost from GMPartsDirect. OTOH they did not carry the $66 AC radiator fan motor (OTC at local distributer with no special discount) but tried to foist off a $166 Siemans replacement. Right.

As far as taking to a dealer
1) cannot afford to make their boat payments
2) only trust myself for my oddball cars anyway.

ps only screwy tool needed was for the fuel filter (when a pump dies, I replace) - seems like 20 mm or 25/32" but a 13/16" open end worked.
