Default Exhaust???

I was just wondering...since I am getting a tune up soon and that includes a muffler...what should i do? Replace the whole exhaust(muffler, piping, tip, cat, etc.)and should i just lose the cat since I don't need it? what piping size should i use etc. and what muffler should I use? thanks guys

i stayed with the 2 and 1/4 inch pipe and went with a high flow cat and a turbo muffler. Made a little more sound and probably about 5 hp gain. The rest of the pipe should be stainless steel so it shouldn't need replacing.

Where did you find the high flow cat and how much was it? I was thinking about just cutting out the inside or just pulling the whole thing off because there are no emissions here. and what muffler company did you use? I am thinking one the dual outlet flowmasters

I found my cat on the internet for about 52 bucks with shipping included. My muffler shop installed it for 40 bucks, and i'm not sure about the brand of muffler. Just a generic turbo muffler that the mufler shop sells.

Default Here is what I did...

I cut my cat off and used a 2.25in. 45 degree coupler with a glasspack muffler and a straight peice of 2.25in pipe, my tail pipe exits under the rear door on my passenger side.
about 109db on mine but that is at a 1500rpm idle.

Great hp gain and you can now add nitrous with no problem because you are zero for back pressure.
