I have a spare 89 or 90sse Ecm , would that swap over to my 90 if mine dies.

Yes it will... The MEM-Cal will have to be swapped out, but the ECM is the same..

tried a mem-cal from an OLDS in my ECU once. Couldn't tell the difference.
Although I'm sure there are changes for tire size and gear ratios.

I think thats about the only diffrence The Vin C'* were all the same with a couple minor changes for 91... Other than that they all used the same basic programming..
