Default DIC worked

It was 29 degrees here this morning and when I went out to warm up the car the DIC worked. First time in years! Why? I have not touched or banged on the dash. Compass has worked fine all this time. Strange...

There is one little resistor in the Compass Module that dies. When this dies it kills the Compass, which kills a ground [I think], to the DIC. I have a working DIC, because of this resistor working, but there is something else in the Compass that has died, and prevents it from working. Guess it'* just the wonders of 80s GM electronics. I have put it on hold, however I will soon pick it back up to fix the issue. There was one post I had a while back giving some more info.. I will see if I can dig it up.
