Actually I thought there was a prototype being made, which would be then be sent to some members to test-fit, including yrs. truly, but that was a couple months ago now.

The choice of gauges wouldn't matter, would it? I mean, any 2"-2 1/8" gauge should go in there; they're only prototyping the pillar pod itself, I assume.

Yea plan B was to get a gauge cluster from TY, but I need to decide how many gauges I want, and what size and all that...

In a pinch you _might_ be able to get three gauges hung on the pillar. There are really only three basic standard sizes of gauge out there: most tachs are anywhere from 4" in diameter on up, and you wouldn't be putting something that big on the pillar. Most other gauges are 2" to 2 1/8" in diameter, the standard that a pillar pod will hold. Finally, there are the mini sizes usually found only in triple-gauge sets (volts/temp/oil-pressure or amps/temp/oil-pressure); those are 1 3/8", but aside from those gauges in the multi-sets you won't find anything else that size.

So whatever you put in the pillar pod, it'* almost certainly going to be a 2" gauge. (Yes, you can get 2" tachs as well.)

I will probabaly get a voltmeter and a speedometer from Dakota Digital. I definitly want the voltmeter, so unless there is somthing else that I want on there Ill just get a speedometer for the 2nd hole.

Given the reliability (cough) of AC-Delco alternators in the Bonnes, I plan to put an ammeter in the second hole, and a voltmeter in the first -- my dash has all the other gauges already -- so the ammeter will tell me when my fourth alternator quits charging, and the voltmeter will tell me how long I have before the car dies.

Yea my speedometer only goes up to 8o MPH. So I want to know how fast I am really going, when I feel the need to "test" the car. Unless I can think of another reason to get another gauge, or somthing.....
I will think of somthing.

That looks exactly like the guage from my '87 bonnie.. just too bad the "Systems montior" doesn't work ( deathrat told me some bnonie'* especially older ones like mine came witht he systems monitor as just a decal really where it wasn't fully functional). Mine just shows when my seatbelt is off and my oil pressure warning light and a few other dummies... door ajars dont work for some reason.

Yea, mine is the same way. I think after '90 they worked, because i have a gauge from an earlier Bonnie, and it has bulbs in all of the sys monitor holes. To0 bad it didn't work with my '88, thie wiring must be different.
