Default A/C Problem

If I turn my climate control down to 16C and go look at my compressor it will not turn on? I get somewhat cool air but nothing to to scream about? I checked the fuses under the hood and are all good. Is there any other fuses to check? I see a bunch of fuses in my glove box if i drop the door are any of these part of the A/C?

Thanks

Mark

is a low pressure switch in series with your compressor, if the switch goes bad or you develop a leak, it wil keep the compressor from turning on. There is also a low pressure flag in the computer that once detected , will keep the compressor from turning on. To clear the flag you need to disconnect the battery for a few seconds.

Default A/C

Can you tell me where this low presure switch is located? Maybe I can get one from a wrecker, or will replacing this switch mean I have to recharge the A/C?

Thanks again

Does the compressor turn on under any circumstances?

More than likely you have low freon in your system. Have you had the system checked for proper R-12 pressures?
