Belt Problem

I put on a new alternator today, and the belt is making a squeaky noise now.. the belt is on properly, and it has good tension.. what could be the noise problem? It'* mildly annoying.

Try some belt dressing. Comes in a can. Different than salad dressing.
Your new pulley is probably doing it. Time will fix it.

Could be a bad alternator. Try spinning the alternator with the belt off. Also try "listening" to the alternator with a screwdriver.
