Default anybody know

Does anyone know where I can get a mounting kit for an 88 buick lesabre? The one I got does not work at all. I need one where I can get the pices to match where I would bolt in. Any information would be appreciated.

Mounting kit for what? What exactly are you trying to do?

For an aftermarket deck. You know when after you take out a stock deck to add in an aftermarket deck you need a mounting kit so it stays in place. where is the best place to get one for this car?

IIRC, the stock deck is 1.5 din (sp?) and most aftermarket headunits are 1 din.

Pretty much anywhere will have adapter kits though. Best buy, Wal-Mart, local audio stores.

Also, don't cut up the stock harness. Get an adaptor to plug into the stock harness and then wire into that. You'll be kicking yourself in the future when you want to pull your aftermarket HU at any point. I've gotten these from Best Buy but I imagine that any reputable audio store would have them too. GM stuff is pretty common

they are so common that i won't even offer to sell you the one i have hanging on a shelf. $10 is the most you should pay.

k well the thing about the mounting kit is i have one right. This deck was in my sunfire before but the packaging says it will work for my 88 lesbare but the holes to mount don't line up nor do any of the pieces i can change for different holes work. its just a big pain in the @$$
