Hrm.... I've got a spare cluster from a 91 SSE in my garage... I should take it apart and see if I can figure out why the odometre would still work and not the trip.
Sounds like a good project for the weekend...

I wish I h ad a full working systems monitor too.. but what can ya do. I guess my '87 just didn't come with it
As for the odometer, both my odo and trip all work 100% just fine. And i'm in an 87 here! Guess i might just be lucky. Does anyone have a dummy light for cruise control? Like to indicate that the system is on? I'm just asking because on the far left on my guage cluster there are four spaces which are obviously lights (they are the big rectangle lights like the ones used for the SERVICE ENGINE SOON or BRAKE dummy lights) however I've never seen them light up and have NO idea what they are for. Thanks

That'* weird because I have an '87 (no SSE existed in 87) and mine'* not an LE (as in the b pillar doesn't say "LE" on it) and from my vin number I think I identified it as an SE... oh well perhaps someone put in a new cluster or something or perhaps mine just has a few more lights that aren't meant to work. Nevertheless
