Grab the shifter.......car in drive, engine not running....move side to side .....does anything feel loose? Possible something fell down inside and rattling in there? Can try removing the top of the console and go for a ride......and see where the possible rattle might be.....

Sure it'* the shifter and not the cat underneath?

There is the shift interlock solenoid, but that usually only ever engages when the car is in park with the ignition on, and foot off the brake.

Clicking only in motion?
The shift cable can transfer the noise
from the CV shaft like a echo

Being that you might want to check the DS shaft.
If its only in motion chance its that.
Electoral shift lock acting up in motion would make no difference.

Sure it'* not a bad connection/wire, that is causing it to click?

You can't replace the solenoid, it is part of the whole shifter....
