it is our responsibility as creatures of the Earth to modify our environment to suit our needs. to do otherwise would be like spitting in mother nature'* face.
on the other hand, weve raped mother nature and are progressively killer all of her kids. id be mad if i were her.
and seriously, i think we need to be aware of what we do to our environment. i dont believe for a second that the situation is as bad as some people think. right now, im withholding judgement on global warming. there are too many people trying to tell me what i think based on incorrect premises and only barely plausible "logic". i think it much more likely that we are observing a natural cycle, and in our conceitedness, we think we caused it. the earth is like a sine wave, and for the last 200 years, weve enhanced the amplitude just a bit -- and the concern SHOULD be that the amplitude hasnt gotten too large to sustain life at the crests and the troughs. our concern should not be the fact that the sine increases between 0 and pi.

Global warming is not a direct result of human interference. We never said, "Hey, lets change the temperature of the world." So I don't believe that we've caused global warming in an attempt to change the world to suit our needs. A more proper analogy is putting too many engine mods on your car and blowing your transmission from the added power. The engine mods are good, the blown transmission is a side effect that is most definitely bad.
People don't realize what significant effects humans have on our planet. We keep a healthy ecosystem to maintain a balance that is in our personal interest.

From the information I've had forced on me the last few years, all I can say is there is no solid proof of anything.
There is archeological and geological evidence that this has all happened before hundreds and thousands of years ago. There'* also evidence that the stuff we're doing now ain't helping.
The only thing I do know, is you can not take one decades wether and claim the sky is falling. We had the dust bowl years in the 30'*. Every state has had drought periods followed by severe flooding.
Heck, for all I/we know, this is just a natural ending to the ice age. Which, by the way, did not kill all life on earth. Life adapted/evolved. It may have to again. But, that means us, too.

I just think it'* wrong when politicians and celebs jump in the picture and regurgitate hearsay to defend their stance on global warming. Leave it for the educated scientists to figure out.
Let we the people figure out ways to be nicer to the environment, regardless of global warming or not.

we cannot start global cooling/warming, and we cannot stop global cooling/warming. It'* a natural cycle that is beyond us. It has happened before the evil SUV invented and will happen no matter what we do. We have more control over stopping an asteroid from hitting earth, and that is unlikely.
