I found a black box under the passenger side carpet almost under the seat..
What is it/ Do ?

I'd suspect that'* your airbag module. My suggestion would be not to mess with it.

there shouldn't be any modules under your seat.

the seated seat module (if you have them) are bolted to the underside of the seat.

there is wiring that runs down the side of the car in a black tray

the airbag module as talked about above is on the center tunnel

It could be an aftermarket alarm or an XM tuner or something. Do you have factory keyfobs?
