I've had Silverstars in my high beams since they first came out, and no problems. I wonder if Sylvania is having quality issues with them. Either way it seems that there is a good reason to steer clear of them. :?

Not sure if its a voltage issue....
But I think most of the 96 or 97+ have the DRL'*...
I think the 95-99NA'd and 96-99 used the 125 amp alt... I think if memory serves they put out 13.5 volts roughly...
My friends car 99 Malibu had the newer style Delphi alternator and it puts out 14.5-14.6 all of the time... More juice...
My 91 does right on the money for 14v, the 95 cold starts at 14.0-14.5 and later drops to 13.5....
Oh well changes...

mine are about 6 months old and even with michigan crap roads their still going. im glad i disabled my drls to hopefully squeeze a lil bit more life out of them. its a bit weird some last a long time other last a few months.
