Default Question Regarding Headlight Assemblies

Hello, I had the unfortunate opportunity to experience what it feels like to hit a deer while traveling at 50mph in my Park Avenue last week. Besides a little soreness from the airbag deployment, I was unscathed, and luckily my PA remains in a working condition, minus headlight damage. Now as I am finally getting word back from my insurance company, they've totaled out the car but allowed me to buy it back for a reasonable sum, plus another decent amount. My question is, I need a replacement headlight assembly for the passenger side, am I restricted to only using a replacement assembly from a Park Avenue, or would I be able to use an assembly from a Le Sabre of similar years? I'm going for a strictly functional replacement, as I only intend to have this car get me through the winter.

Thanks.

Here'* a picture of the front end, the bumper damage was there previously, but it almost seems to look like most incidents happened at the same time.

I believe that a Lesabre light would work, I think everything was the same except for the grille. Ive seen a few running around with lesabre front ends on park avenues. 1991-1996 parts should all interchange. Try a local upull it type salvage yard. Best of luck

I don't think this is one of our members. Though it has been around the internet for quite some time now.*

91-96 Park Avenue Front end parts WILL interchange with 92-96 LeSabre parts.

There is a lot more to worry about before you get to the headlight though. I bet the mounting plate is jacked on that.

Wow, thanks for the responses guys, it'* good to know I won't have to search high and low for my specific year. I paid $500 for the car three years ago, and it'* only needed a water pump and a starter replaced, I consider that to be pretty good luck. (knock on wood) Unfortunately, the rocker panel on the passenger side was quite rusted when I originally picked the car up, and hasn't gotten any better. My main intentions are just to get another headlight in there somehow, and leave the rest of the damage as-is. The body may only last me one more winter, so I don't see the point in repairing much more. The engine on the other hand.. I'll have to see how the winter goes. Thanks, I'll keep you guys updated on the repair process.

If you can open the hood you may be able to temp-rig something to get through the winter, but you are going to have your work cut out for you.
Make sure that hood latch is working properly, if not I'd not drive the car.

If you want a site to use to look for parts from your local junk yards check this site out.
