Well, it'* been a while since I've had any problems with the car so I guess it'* not surprising that something showed up. If I take a turn or accelerate slowly from a stop within the first mile or so of driving the car after a cold start, I hear a grinding sound coming from the right front of the car. Vibrations can also be felt in the passenger side floor panel when the noise occurs. I jacked the car up today and played around with the wheels thinking it may be a wheel bearing or something along those lines but everything seemed to be working fine. Any ideas gearheads?

Grinding? Gee, that does not sound good. I just replaced my right front wheel bearing because it was making noise but it was not a "Grinding" type of noise. If it isn't the wheel bearing then it might be a CV Joint, but a torn boot would give that away. Is it louder when you're turning towards the Left?

Yeah, it'* louder when i turn to the left and usually gets quieter as the wheel is straightened. There is also a high speed vibration that seems to be coming from the right front wheel as well. It starts at around 45mph and gets worse until ~80 then it just goes away but it'* not a balancing problem. My alignment also suddenly went to hell about the time that this noise started. The car pulls pretty hard to the right, and I never hit any bumps that could've thrown the alignment off that much.

OK, I'm leaning towards the Right Wheel Bearing. The vibration is a separate issue. If you say that it is not a Balancing issue then it could be the tire itself(slipped belt?). Of course it could also be the other usual suspects, ball joints, tie rod ends, et al.
You also might look at the brakes(rotor/caliper??) as well. Ya neva' know? If you go for an alignment, they usually check for these problems BEFORE they attempt to align a car.

Sounds like a wheel bearing or brakes. The turning making the noise louder or quieter leans more toward wheel bearing.

The grinding is probably a bearing. Funny thing is that this is the same story that I have posted in my post. My bearing was bad and I replaced that but the vibration/noise at high speed stayed (not the bearing grinding noise, that ceased). Its a range between 50 and 73 where i get the vibration and noise, above or below its not as noticeable. And my alignment suddenly changed, however my alignment was already bad so it actually compensated for the original unalignment and made it better. Sounds like a combination of 2 problems

Not to take this off topic, but nytemunkey, you need to get yours in for a balance and alignment if you didn't do it after the wheel bearing replacement. While the shop is doing that have them look at your linkage.

Replaced the hub assembly last night in the my school'* parking garage (that was fun). So far I haven't heard any more noises so I guess it was the bearing that was bad. Now it'* time to track down what'* causing the vibration. Thanks guys.

You can get a vibration from a loose and wearing bearing. Also the tire wear resulting from the bearing could be causing a bit of vibration as it rolls true now.
