something definately went wrong. I'd remove the finish with some paint thinner and start over.

Wet-sand with 800 grit, then 1000 grit to a smooth scuffed finish. When it looks even, sand again with 1500 (wet).

Re-VHT to darken it if you wish. Then use the Duplicolor Auto clearcoat, not the acrylic laquer.

2 coats, let it dry for a couple hours in direct sunlight, wet-sand with 1000 grit, then apply the last coat.

Na, just sand down the car and repaint it in the rain... a flat black car might look sweet, and would better match the tails

And precipitation raises humidity. Even when cool.

It'* only 48 degrees here right now, and overcast. Humidity is almost 80%.

Let'* have the time, date, and city it was done in. I'll tell you what the conditions were.

I need the DATE the work was done as well.

Assuming it was the day this was posted, you started at 58% humidity and 53 degrees F.

Knowing how long this takes, you finished up about 50 degrees and 80% humidity.

Temperature and humidity were both bad choices. VHT needs time to cure in the sun (as per my instructions in the last topic you posted in about this) before you can even think about applying clear. All of these factors played into your hazy finish.
