My antenna is actually magnetic, so I can just stick it on the roof if I wanted to. No adhesive needed.

The little adhesive pad doesn't work that well. Warm the glass up with a blow drier and use 1/2" inch trim tape

No problems with leakage into the trunk.

It scratches the paint real easy.
That'* why I advocate using the trim tape and mounting it on the back window

Well I was downtown Calgary last night, amongst the tall buildings, and lost the signal only once for a matter of a second. So I think it is doing just fine on the rear deck, but its good to know I can move it back to the window if need be.

Mine'* magnetic too, but I don't trust it not to scratch the paint.

Scratching IS GOING TO HAPPEN, I only know because it happened to me!!! Also if you leave it on the trunk or any surface it magnatizes(sp?) to it will dis-color the paint, kinda like on a refrigerator, also something I figured out over time :(
