ga93sle: No problems yet, but it rained pretty good last night so I will keep you posted. I wouldn't think there would be a problem, since they ARE intended for use outside the vehicle, but obviously your dad'* had some issues. Where is his mounted? Maybe it'* in a place where water collects?
Debbie: No prob, happy to help. Your XM will sound like a CD in no time! :P Oh, and I was quoted $50 by Future Shop to install that kit (plus the cost of the kit, of course), just so you have a ballpark/know what to expect.
dbeast: Guilty as charged, totally took your idea. But it was such a good one! :P Have you had any problems with leaking into your trunk? I don't imagine there would be since it'* such a small wire.
repinS: Don't quite get what you said, but I'm not a big Metric fan, too slow for me.

I've had Sirius radio since the Beginning of November. I am using the FM modulator that is built in and I do get static cause of it. I also have my antenna sitting on my dash. I figure it I go and install it outside, I will just get it stolen or something. It works fine for me on the dash, so that is where it stays, lol.

Well. I went out this morning, and the antenna was no longer stuck to the glass. It got down to -10 C or so last night, and it seems that plus the moisture did the adhesive pad in. So now it is sitting on my rear deck, and I haven't had any reception problems yet, so there it will remain.
Now at least it is safe from weather and vandalism.
