Where has everyone gone...
Ok... first off, I did Trunk and tail light swap. No paint yet as I am broke. Quarters never changed.
Now for the story. Ok, Out school had had these apartments that were last used the year before i got here for some reason. They have been sitting vacant and abandoned for almost 5 years now. Well, they just recently decided to tear them down and have just begun. Knowing this, I though it might be cool to explore them one last time (went once before) so one night when Robert and I were driving around, We went over there. We found some cool stuff and I noticed that they had a lot of cabinets and some were decent. plus there were random other things there. So we left. Then the next day I went back and walked around and took the picture of the car and I picked up a cabinet and 3 mirrors plus some misc stuff. So we were going to go that night and get some more cabinets (wanted them for the basement so I could get my remaining stuff off the floor.) but my roommate didn't get back in time. So that left us at yesterday. I pick him up after class around 6pm and we head over there. I park in a mostly secluded area, and we begin to walk into random apartments. We find some interesting stuff, lights, Cat 5, as well as some nasty stuff. We fine a couple nice cabinets, so we load them in. The last one not quite fitting in the trunk, so we bungey cord it closed. Then we decide to take one last walk around. Well, while walking around, we hear a car go past.... so we decide it is time to leave. We get back to the car, hop in and start to drive out of the parking lot we were in. Right as I rounded the corner of the building to exit, Campus safety pulls in and lights go on. Crap! so he comes over to us and asks us what we are doing. I told him we were taking pictures of the car (we did) and then saw the cabinets sitting there and figured since they were tearing the place down, they wouldn't be missed. well, at tells us that we usually just arrests anyone on the property and asks us if we are students. I say yes and hand him my ID. He tells us we are lucky cause we would have been arrested. He starts to walk back to the truck and then comes back and tells us that we are lucky that he is the boss and that he is confident we can dispose of the stuff back where it came from and that we have 4 minutes to be out of there and then he got in his truck an pulled away. We proceeded to remove the 2 cabinets while he was pulling away, but left the rest of the stuff in the car. We drove away and he was no where in sight. Looking back on it, I think someone called campus safety when they heard a window break.....
So looks like we lucked out. I wanted to get more pictures from there, but had no camera battery. Next time if I go back there, I am parking at the student apartments and walking down. That way I can just hide if they come around again.
