Yes.
I installed a 140 amp on my 89 Lesabre with the LN3 engine -it is a VERY tight fit against the manifold -make sure you don't pinch any wires between the intake manifold and the alternator.
I had a custom stereo system (not the biggest by any means) so I pretty much was left no choice.
Now that I have a 1995 Bonneville SE SC that requires the 140 amp alternator I can swap a 105 amp back on the Lesabre if the 140 dies on the Bonneville.
For now I just carry a brand new AC-Delco 105 amp alternator in the trunk of the Bonneville so I can 'limp' home if need be.

I'd suggest asking for one for a 1993-1995 Bonneville with the supercharged engine. That should be good enough info for them to set you up. Be fore warned that you'll probably have to shell out a few more $$ (probably $20-30 more).

supercharged has different brackets

i had to open mine up and move the casing around otherwise the positive terminal on the alternator will hit the fuel rail resulting in a giant spark and possibly blowing up your car.

before anyone says anything, the fuel rail is mounted on the opposite side of the manifold on the ln3, the bottom of the u is by the alternator not like by the throttle body on the l27.

i got mine from the junkyard or $30 and its a reman acdelco unit that looks new

actually you need to ask for the AC Delco 140 amp and you need to tell them that you have a heated windshield...you will get the right one

So what did you change on the alt to accomodate the fuel rail?
As soon as I saw your post- I knew that questens needed to be asked....as my volt meter moves a lot. especially at a light- with blinker and heater on- it drops between the 1/4 and the 1/2 mark, and the lights dim. its just really annoying, but as soon as the brake is off it jumps back up- usually between the 1/2 and 3/4 mark.

unscrew the 4 long screws that hold the housing together
then twist the housing around so that the pos terminal is away from the fuel rail.
reinstall screws
