Got a little surprise going on this morning that nobody knows about. More about that later.
Getting track prepped at home right now with sse1990, then we're picking Katie up (her first year at the track!) and heading to the KOA. 100 octane just went in. We got home last night with about a pint of 92 left.
Pat, I didn't even know Boost was on the phone with you when we were running. We took his car out for some runs last night (great winding country road out here that has seen ALOT of Bonneville runs in the last few days).
The car doesn't whine any more. It SCREAMS. Very distinctive sound. There'* no doubt who'* doing a flyby next to the KOA any more. It'* funny, nearly every car here sounds different, except the Cheetah and Damien. They're nearly identical. sse1990 and I both simultaneously filmed the other SSEi'* as they entered an onramp on the way home last night, and I have to tell you standing there as they ripped by at WOT was nothing short of amazing. The cars passed us 4 feet away under full load. Mike was filming from the open sunroof, I was at the LF corner of the Zilla. Truly amazing. I'll try to get the vids up soon, but tonight is a late night at the track. We start test/tune at 3pm. Weather is VERY good, and will be nearly perfect tomorrow morning when the bracket racing starts.
The only communication for the rest of the day will be via phone.
Side note:
Every white car that has arrived so far has had a mechanical issue that we had to deal with. The curse takes a new twist.
SPECIAL THANKS to Don Blackwell, Admin extrordinaire, and John Wikoff, Mr. Senior Moderator for phone support over the last couple days while we were out of internet range and working on cars. GREAT support. Amazingly quick help.

Can't wait to see the fly-by vids, guys! I spoke to Echo briefly today, and it sounds like you guys had a great time tearing up the roads to the coast. Keep the rubber side down!

I went to see the drag racing at woodburn today. Pretty cool stuff, the Bonnies turned out to be faster than I expected.
What was the deal with the missing headlight on all the Bonnevilles?
Anyway cool to see all the Bonneville'* at one place. I think I accidently parked in a staging area or something, but I wasn't there for much more than an hour because I had an appointment around 5 that I had to be at. Otherwise I would have stayed around and met some of you guys!
Anyway, nice driving out there!

SURPRISE FOR THE DAY: Chadow427 was asleep on my couch when sse1990 and I woke up this morning. Bo was so tired from yesterday that he didn't even wake up when Shadd arrived. I was the ONLY person that knew he was coming at the last minute, and the group was led to believe he wouldn't make it. His arrival at the KOA this morning was AMAZING! Pmom almost cried. Shadd is one of 'her boys'. Another GREAT day. Many PB'* were posted, and ALL should improve tomorrow morning. Should be 50° for a low temp tonight!!!!
Anyway, I'll post Day 1 track results in On the Road and at the Track, but todays pics (many more were taken by others, I was busy racing today and didn't shoot many):

check to make sure the 3 bolts that secure the 2 halves of the underhood fuse block are tightened down properly. The fuses are actually hot? Take a look at the C1, C2 & C3 connectors under the fuse block, inspect for tightness, general conditions.
Had some great runs today and a new PB for me 13.55 Whoo Hoo.
Oh and Barney has mysteriously gone missing.
