Beautiful car Charlie
You nailed it. It'* left over from the last owner. You should see the black asphalt I have to remove from the underside of the rockers. I have also put about 10 hours work on the inside, and I'm still not quite there yet. I'm trying to decide if I'm going to put something in the front plate or take it off.

Cool post! I guess I'd remove the plate if I were you. I like the cleanest look possible. What % tint is on the windows, any idea?

The tint is in the 35-50% range. PA has 2 funky tint laws. 70% is supposedly the maximum, or if the police can't see the driver. I haven't been stopped though, and the prior owner claimed he had never been either.

Those pictures and your Bonne are top notch.

The work and the detailing time you have put into your car up to this point is evident....one of the sharpest 96-99s I have seen, here, in awhile.

It is wonderfu lto see the passion you have for your Bonne and your local history.

Thanks for sharing

Thanks for the kind comments.

Some final thoughts...

One thing we locals know, and surely hope... is that all Americans know they are sons and daughters of this history, and this history belongs to them. And if the opportunity presents itself, visit it or revisit it, for within it lays a secret and a lesson.

Washington went into that winter with 12,000 troops and departed in June with 10,000. This was the main fighting core of our nation'* army. they would spend the next 5 years marching and fighting all over PA, NJ, and NY, where the British were most concentrated.

One of my questions up top was "Why?" . That'* the secret hidden in the plain hills and fields of Valley Forge, and the simple lesson that has proved true through history. Most victories are not ones of weapons, but ones of will.

Valley Forge Park is about 25 sq miles. In it are more than a dozen good sized parking lots with picnic areas across broad fields. During the summer, there are many car and motorcycle meets from all over the country. Maybe someday we could put something together for the BC.

I could think of nothing more right than true Americana meeting American history.
