I can honestly say, if mine makes it to 240,000 miles, ill be in awe.
At that mileage, no matter if it needs it or not, shes gettin a rebuilt engine and another trans, if its till going by then lol
Call it a restoration

I'd be more than perfectly happy if I hit 400,000kms OR miles.

Now if my car hits 400K, I'm marrying it.

I'm not touching the engine, but I am looking for a tranny core to rebuild myself, or biting the bullet and paying someone to rebuild mine. I kinda want to find out just how long it will go. There is nothing wrong with the tranny at the moment.

Oh common now. I get to 60 as fast as I can. Most times I'm in 2nd gear at sixty. I think it does as well as it does because I don't baby it. I don't beat it either.

I really think the more you beat on a motor the longer it will last, given that is you still take care of it. Every car I have ever owned got the crap drove out of them but I always took good care of them. But most of the engines Ive ran hard ddnt even have a chance for the oil to get dirty before it got a fresh change, & rarley saw temps over 165.
My last Baby was a 92 Camaro RS, went through three different trannies behind it (& it was a 305 to boot) sold the engine with just a bit under 200,000 on it to a freind who beat the heck out of it for another year before another guy got ahold of it & ran it with no oil a spun the mains.

Compared to the way Andrew drives everything is nice and gentle. I wouldnt say Travis beats the snot out of the thing, but then he doesnt baby it either.
