oh, forgot to answer your questions!

Yes, i think you paint it on with a brush.

Getting a whole nother kit to finish half the drums would be a bad business decision. LOL
(not that i havent been throwing money at her lately... )

Yeah, I have the same engine paint. "Universal Gold" No. 223, right? I would guess that the 500 degree rating should be enough. I haven't felt my drums after I have driven for a while, but I wouldn't think the outside would get that hot. I could be wrong though.

The other thing about the engine paint is, it possibly may not hold up to the elements as well as the caliper paint. The caliper paint is chemical, rust, and chip resistant. It doesn't say if the eninge paint is, but I'd assume it has to hold up nicely if it'* meant to paint engine blocks, etc. But I painted my stock exhaust tips with this same engine paint last summer, and by this spring the paint wore off and the salt from the winter destroyed the paint job. But I didn't prime them so that might have been the problem also. I had to sand the hell out of them and I bought some Bright Gold "Classic Lacquer" and some primer and clearcoat and they look much better.

Anyway, if you put several coats on the drums it may hold up. I've decided just in case to use my old rusty drums for the winter and use the red ones for the spring/summer, just to be completely sure they'll hold up. They're pretty easy to change.

Bonnie94, i'm gonna see how far i can run the lacquer kit, then i'll touch up with the engine paint if i have to. Hopefully not! I should have it done by the end of the week end. Im getting the new Rotors and Pads this week, so im gonna do it all at once...

Nytro, stop making me jealous!!!!!

If only I had the money I had last year. I'm getting the slotted rotors from DP soon, are those what you're getting? If so, how much are they? I think they're $150 but I don't know if that'* $150 each or for the set. Thanks. Your car will look better with slotted rotors though since you have those PHAT rims!!

When I get $$ I'm seriously going to think about getting new rims and use the Ghetto golds for the winter.
