Yeah I'm really curious about the cam too...and why it was designed to compliment the chip and not the other way around....and also what motivated you to go from simple 'bolt ons' to a large job like cam replacement. and...well, maybe its story time. Tell us about how it came about and what the specs are.

You guys don't quit do you, Like I said earlier, I do have a Jet chip, and the cam, custom or not modified or what???, we did both of them, and like I said it was like 5 years ago, JET performance must of made it sometime or another, Like I said in a previous post, my friend practically sleeps in his grand national, he and his friends, who also own GN’* know all about this subject of cams and chips and working with the 3.8L although the GN’* are turbo charged and the motor is not the same except for the displacement. They constantly have different cams grinded and chips made all the time!!! Not to mention turbo’* swapped, piping rerouted, propellers switched, etc, etc, etc all in the pursuit of speed, “like they need anymore of it”, there cars are fast enough!!. I just called a few of them today about the chip and the cam and what the spec’* where and if they remember, He said OK, well I will have to rip the top end of the motor off and take it out, then take it somewhere to have it dimensioned! Because that was a long time ago, I don’t have anything on it. I asked him about the chip and these are his word, yes it is a JET, but it’* no where near factory. I know you guys can keep on drawing your own conclusions, that’* ok with me, I feel bad about not giving you the specs you want. Don’t get me wrong I would look at it with the same scrutiny!!. I am preparing a Video as we speak, Be prepared to be more intrigued!!, thanks for you interest!!!

Did the Jet replace the computer or just go on as a piggy back? A couple photos would help, like the engine and exhaust, etc...

To be frankly honest, the population is probably evenly split between these two groups:

1. The people who feel you've lost some credibility because of the fact that you tried to pass your car off as something it wasn't.

2. The people who genuinely want to know the specs of the components you have in your car.

You can take one of three paths here:

A. Cop an attitude towards group 1, but satisfy group 2 with the information they're asking for.

B. Ignore group 1 and satisfy group 2.

C. Ignore group 1 and 2 entirely and go on with life.

The members of this Forum are in a constant quest to improve their rides. When someone comes in out of the blue with something impossible or nearly impossible, that new member is going to be asked alot of questions.

I'm going to stick to the chip issue......since that'* a specialty of mine, and I have had direct contact with the people at Jet on several occasions. The last I spoke with Jet, they had no knowledge whatsoever of any work ever having been done for the 94/95 Bonnevilles. Had they done so in the past, they would still have the data to burn a prom. I've now gotten this information from 2 seperate sources at Jet. Now if they're in error, and they actually have something tucked away in the vault, we need to tell them to look for it. There'* alot of guys here who could benefit from that.

I doubt it'* 'far from stock' considering you've only changed the cam, but anything is better than stock for these poor hybrid 94/95 guys. I've spent hours trying to find a good option for them. I really wish you'd satisfy my curiosity, and pull your PCM so we can have a look at the numbers and markings on that Prom. If this is indeed what you claim it to be, it can be of great importance.

Yes, I am rather intrigued by your mods. If this stuff can be done, then you will have opened up a whole new world of performance for the NA 3800'*.

Let'* see some pics.

The Wing is from A&A Specialties, I had to add ¾” to the back of the pedestal. I cut plywood into a ¾” wedge and glued and screwed it to the end of the pedestals, then actually toke my Orbital sander and shaped it as close as possible to the pedestal. Next was body filler, and more sanding. Then I sanded the pedestals bottoms to match the trunk lid, A true nightmare, the trunk is sloped plus it is rounded at the back!!!. I was about to throw in the towel, but I kept with it. The hard work paid off bigtime!!, It really sets the car off!!!. Very pleased with the results!!!!!!!
