Those OEM jacks scare me to...I have one the rivet broke in scissors part and another that bent almost in half. OK the bent one was used on a 3500 dodge dually but I would never get under one again.

I gotta say that I've never made mine hover, lol, but I have a pair of 6-ton jack stands I use on the Ranger. I don't need the capacity as much as the height.
Cheapies from Harbor frieght. I was chastised on a Ranger forum for buying these for $23 as they were "cheap", but my rebuttal was, "If they are rated for 6 tons and I'm using them for a truck that weighs well less than 2 tons, what'* the argument?").
