Default My Vortec TPI motor build- updated -running vid!

I have 2 camaros 1 is the 1LE I've posted before the the other is my IROC that is Rosco.
IT has been a gruleing project that has/had many things go wrong that ended with crappy Edelbrock parts causeing headers to glow and warping a set of '88 vette heads. After letting the car sit for the last 10 months I attacked it again after watching the IROC'* in the History channel. I love my 3rd gens and BTW the SSEi is the only other car that could keep the speed withdraws away. I decided to go a diffent dir and go Vortec heads and matching intake http://www.sdpc2000.com/ had a whole kit gaskets and bolts inc for $1,200! My headers are getting recoated by JETHOT due to heat damage so they will get put on later.

I resoaked the lifters to start.

The Vortec intake only has 8 bolts that you have to set just right.

That'* hot. I wish I had the time, money, and space to do that. Too bad I'm still in school and it'* illegal to have an extra garage in my subdivision.

What kind of cam are you using in that Tuned Port motor? As well as the pistons are those .020 or .030 overbore and what kind of compression are you looking at?

Thanks I take great pride in my motors!
Yea it'* a LOT of $$$.
I'm building it at a auto hobby shop on my base. Basic idea is you can rent a flat stall for $2 and a frame lift stall for $3 a hr and work on your car in a full garage. My other thread about a small busness was to get info so I can open one of my own when I retire from the Navy in a few years.

Speed pro hypereutectic with side coating. With the block decked and 58cc Corvette heads I should of been 10:1 but I think I got a bit more, the Vortec heads I switched to are 64cc so I should be back down to around 9:6:1.

Very nice.... That cam will give you some nice power... Man you just have to love a 350... Drool... How about a sound sample when you get it fired up?

And I look at it this way... Stock L36 3800 II with 9.4 to 1 compression makes 205 Hp...

I would think you'd be in the 300hp range? And ideas how much power you will make?
