I would not tint my tails for fear of attracting negative attention from the popos but I think the look is great.

I'm not a fan of the 96-99 tails one bit, however I'll probably end up with a car from those years anyway lol.

I DONT like the look of tails from 92-95 SSE/SSEi tinted but do like the look of the SE/SLE tails being tinted from the early generations.

You may be referring to WINDOW tint? Most people wouldn't know if tails were tinted or not. They're already naturally dark due to the dark stripes.

As far as on a white car, I think they look VERY good on driverjohn'* white 92.

We used 4 coats, but that really doesn't mean anything. You can lay light coats or heavy coats.

I did two, then wetsanded. Did the third, and we took them out in the sun. He thought a little darker. Wetsanded with 1000-grit lightly again, and put on the 4th. Wetsanded again, and cleared with two coats. We were running out of time and didn't have a chance to wetsand between the clearcoats. But they came out pretty damn good because of our attention to detail on the 4 VHT coats and wetsanding between them, and again before clearcoating.

i know your old and forgetful bill, but forgive me...

the tint DOES cut out some light, and its not 100% during the day..

Mine have 4 coats of VHT and a bunch of clear. They do look dark, but I've had cops right behind me and I've never been pulled over. I'm not even worried about ever getting warned. I do have a spare untinted set if I ever do get flack for them, but I doubt I will.

BTW EK, those look great! Especially with the blue. BADASS indeed. Now you should tint those reflectors! (I did)

I think the main reason cops haven't bothered me is because of the red reflecotrs on the bumper. That'* how I think we can kinda get away with it...
