We'll polish them to a better shine. We had near-freezing temperatures while we did that. Considering the weather, they came out very good.
Daytime visibility isn't bad. You have a 3rd brake light like the rest of us.
I'd venture to say it only reduces the amount of light in the day by 10-15%.

No, having the back dark and the front clear doesn't bother me. I like to think that the front and the reverse lights match, while the rest of the lights and the tinted windows match. I thought it looked dumb with amber just in the back and clear in the front, but thats only because the amber looked so bad with the blue color of the car.

Heres what the lights look like in the day. They actually look brighter than I thought they would. I think they also look brighter in real life than they do here.
