Default Little Trunk Detailing

Decided to do a little something with the trunk. Black cloth spray paint on the factory carpet. Then I cut out Pontiac symbols on the back, spray painted plexi glass red, then glue'd it to the back of the back piece. Finished it Sunday, and yes, it still smells like paint in my car.

Carpet looks brand new.. My dad did the same thing to his car to make the carpet look clean when it was terrible.

Did you take the carpet out to paint or did you paint it while it was still in the trunk?
I pull all the carpet out and vacuum and wipe down with a damp rag every year, or depending on if I just got the car. Shampoo the carpets too.

I pulled everything out and painted it, just easier that way. If I left it in, the paint could of run and got goowey at some places. I went through about 8 cans of black spray paint.
