Thanks everyone. This was not the original plan to spend this much time on it but I am happy with the outcome so far.

I love the look of the Wrinkle black and it helps dissipate heat better, BUT it was messy because there was alot of over spray and moving in and out of the over was a pain, but over all it came out ok . Could be better, but when I put a Gen V on in a year or so I know what to do and not do.

The headers are TOGs I bought used and had ceramic coated. Not cheap but still cheaper than buying them new.

here is a teaser:

By the way I can not decide on either bright silver Valve covers (which kinda matches the other silver parts), or a gun metal color. What do you all think?

Ok went with the gunmetal like color, but the pics don't do the color justice. Anyway I am almost done, just gotta deal with all the vacuum lines, paint the alternator (get it apart first...) AC compressor, and wiring harness are the main things, then I have to move on to the trans. By the way what color should I paint the trans? Either aluminum like the front of my motor or Semi-gloss black like the motor, not sure, leaning towards black... So here are a few pics.

What do you guys think of the */C emblem, to much? I was just testing it out...

till next time.

I'd say paint the transmission aluminum colored. On the emblem the only problem I forsee is heat. Will the glue on the emblem hold up?

Engine looks great. Excellent job.

Looks really good. Should move well also.

BTW just for your info, the wrinkle paint doesn't disipate heat any quicker if you used the standard Krylon. I researched it, spoke with a Krylon tech and there isn't any properties to it that help heat. I still painted my charger with it. Looks great, seems to hold up great and overall I'm not unhappy about doing it.

I used VHT brand paint. I'm not sure about the heat dissipation, but willwren said he tested it and there was a small but noticeable difference with the krylon paint he did on his SC. But even if it doesn't have a positive performance effect I still like the way it looks.

Hey, nice project! That looks amazing! I can't wait to see it all complete. When are the Buick Nationals? And how much faster are you going to be than anyone else?
