Default Hood vents......the story continues!

What it was for quite some time (keep in mind I had clearcoat delamination, which prompted me to try drastic stuff, cuz what the hell?, right?):

Then off to driverjohn'* right after christmas with the 2nd set:

Well, I finally got off my *** in my LIMITED spare time, and got things moving in the right direction on the Zilla again. Not sure when we're going to paint, but this is a start (ignore the vent not fully seated, that'* fixed now). This is the same mesh I used on the SC cover, and also used on John'* vents:

The vents will be OEM paint like the hood, the mesh will be gloss black. Underside of the hood is totally stripped and primed. I'm ready for paint when I can afford it. But it does look better than a partially sanded hood now.

Won't be black for long, and yes, they've been functional for nearly 6 months.

The heatwaves coming out are VERY obvious.

Hmmmm....I believe I've seen some hood vents just like those before....

Would you mind filling us in on what kind of car those came off of (even though I'm pretty sure I know)

Old news.

I installed these some time ago. 5-page post. I've had them for 8 months (3 complete sets of 4). Trans Am GTA?
