I am form Michigan, and I have never seen tires with them. Just an Alaskan thing I guess

yea they are illegal here... same with chains. I think post office vehicles and road commision are the only ones who can have chained tires.

Hmmmm....some of our firetrucks here have automatic tire chains....but that probably doesnt count.

It would make sense that they would. That is a lot of weight to stop and anything would help
