Moose are a serious problem up there, Last time we visited my aunt and uncle there was apparantly a moose killing in someones driveway in Anchorage. A Bear ate it..

Wow... I haven't seen studded snow tires in ...well, lets just say MANY years (I think they are banned now in NY...??)

Finally had the oppournity to use them this morning, no snow but some ice so I took the Suburban. The studs eat the roads and they are only allowed form 15 Sept to Mid April, I believe.
