Wow you got that for a steal. All the SII LeSabre'* around here (the FEW that there are) constantly go for $3000+. Good purchase! That'* my favorite LeSabre style, too bad they only used the SII one year before going to the uglier IMO ones.

Would that be FE2 or FE3? Would it compromise the highway ride, or just improve the cornering?

Alec_b: I too think that the body tweaks that they did in the '97 made it look a bit less substantial, and a bit more feminine. As for them being somewhat hard to come by, there'* two in our family now. mkaake has got a blue '96 Custom, and he'* my bro-in-law.

FE2,FE3 or F41 H Body will work... It won't rally stiffen the overall ride, but being that the bars are stiffer, you will notice more of the imperfections on the road as the bars do their job of controlling wheel wander/body sway... Its an overall improvement, you'll love it at off ramps, or if you are in an emergency where you have to react... Down the road better tires will also aid that..

I will have to look for that, depending on what they charge for such things. It does have a little bit of body roll as it is.

I can get them for $8-9 at the wrecker in Daytona... They are a bit hard to comeby tho

nice...another one joins the buick group. i like my lesabre. it'* surprised a few rice kernels at the stop lights. nice ride....decent handling..great car. i will be selling mine soon though...hopefully either for a subie wrx or civic si hatch...not a rice kind of guy...but i need better mileage.
