Got bored at work today with this time of year things are slow except on the weekends. Decided to take some pics of my other ride. Nothing fancy, gets the job done though. I do Police work at the local amusement park called Kennywood. It is always ranked in the top ten parks of the nation, cuz its pimp. We also have a Impala, get pics of that some other time though.

We are gearing up for something called Phantom Fright Nights which last all October. They basically turn the Park into a mega haunted house with mazes and everything.











Your basic Explorer controls..............besides the caution tape


Top box is our lights to run code, middle box is communication box, and third box is a scanner.


Perhaps my favorite part of the vehicle, the cage! Im finally used to it being back there unlike normal Explorers. There have been soo many times I went to back up, try to put my hand on the passenger seat and smack the crap out of my elbow.


Top box is park communications. Public Safety on 1, Food & Beverages on 2, Maintenance on 3. Bottom box is the scanner, happen to get stuck on channel 10 while I was listening to something happen down at the waterfront (pgh guys know what I mean)


There are three different codes (light patterns) we can run with the light bar. Then we have the usuall headlight flashers and lights in the grille and back window. Also have the siren and air horn (which is my personal favorite)


Oh, and my car when I was leaving work. I parked inside the park today and coming out it was pretty cool how the lights were hitting it, but the camera sucked so its just a crumy shot.

i grew up in pittsburgh, and i have to say that kennywood is by far the best amuesment park ever!!!! the steel phantom is one of the best coasters i've ever been on!!! can't wait to go back again. maybe you can get some discounted tickets??? lol.

called the 'phantom'* revenge' now by the way.... josh i'll be there for fright nights this year. oh and if you ever see me rolling through pull me over.
