I didn't have much time to work on the project today but I did manage to remove the dash and make some preparations for the engine harness connector/grommet. To paraphrase the manual'* instructions for dash removal it basically says "remove everything you possible can that bolts, screws or comes relatively close to the dash for removal". Such items like the headlight switch, ECC control head, and ashtray assembly need not to be removed. The column had to be lowered by removing both the upper and lower bolts. this is to gain access to 2 10mm screws directly above the column and to make removal easier. It took about 45 min by myself to take it out. Of course, I have pics.

The PCM and it'* housing were removed to have some room to get the L67 engine connector/grommet up to the firewall. The opening can be seen above the HVAC programmer (black plastic box) and the air mix actuator cover (rusty, holey metal thing).

AH! The dreaded bare dash. It took me a many days to get my dash off.. those damn metal support brackets behind the dash, those were a BITCH. I had a many scratched hands after that.

For some reason, your car doesn't look like it has as many wires as mine. Mine seemed to all be running right under the air door thing. Oh well, looks like the project is coming along great
